Education for farmers, producers, researchers, and educators.
The Outreach portion of this project aims to develop and present a robust and comprehensive outreach and educational program for elderberry producers and processors throughout North America. We also target Extension faculty, educators, and other researchers.
Outreach Efforts
The outreach program brings current elderberry production information and guidance to all interested elderberry producers and processors while showcasing and publicizing the research initiated through this project.
- Outreach focuses on specific research results from this project.
- Our outreach team hosts numerous Field Days at active research sites and private elderberry production farms throughout the Midwest and well beyond. We are developing and implementing standardized program impact evaluation tools. Along the way, all pertinent research findings are incorporated into outreach activities.
- We are developing and revising regional Elderberry Production Guides to reflect project results and prepare online elderberry production training curricula intended for extension personnel and other educators.
Our outreach team hosts numerous Field Days at active research sites and private elderberry production farms throughout the Midwest and well beyond.
